Winged out eyeshadow look tutorial!

Hey guys, so today I am doing something a little bit different as I am going to be doing a make up look tutorial. Just to add a disclaimer, by no means am I a professional make up artist. This is simply a make up look that I wear very often and want to share it with you guys!
So, to start off with I am going to show you an overview of what make up products I am going to be using for this tutorial...

Step 1 - Moisturise your face. This step (to me) is very important, because if you are like me and have very dry skin, the most horrible thing is going out with a full face of make up and being able to see dry skin on your face. The moisturiser I use is...

I believe this moisturiser is my all time favourite, The one thing I cannot stand about moisturisers is when they are so sticky and thick that you can feel it on your skin all day. However, this one sinks into your skin in a matter of minutes and keeps it feeling moisturised all day.
All I do with this product is take out a pea sized amount and dot it all around your face, then rub it in gently until it is all rubbed in.

Step 2 - Eyebrows. The product I use to do my eyebrows I believe I mentioned in my Everyday make up routine. It is the Sleek palette in 'Light'

In this product, I only use the powder part of the pallet as the other is wax and I don't really need to use the wax as I get my eyebrows shaped professionally. So what I do is simply dab the applicator into the pan and apply the powder on the brush onto my eyebrows. I start form the inner part of the eyebrow and then just follow my shape.

Step 3 - Concealer. Most of you will know that I do not normally wear concealer or foundation. Unfortunately I have recently started developing dark under eye circles, so I had to turn to concealer for help! The concealer I use is the Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' anti fatigue effect + a radiant glow.

For this product, it comes with a doe foot applicator which is extremely helpful. I simply draw three small lines under the eye and rub it in gently with my finger. Voila! Goodbye bags!

Step 4 - Eyeshadow primer. For the eyeshadow primer I use the Urban Decay 'Eyeshadow Primer Potion'. I swear by this primer as it keeps my eyeshadow in place all day.

When I am going to use this product I squeeze a small pea sized amount and smoothly wipe it over each eyelid so that it all sinks in.

Step 5 - The eyeshadow step! So for this winged eyeshadow look I am going to be using MAC's 'Girlie' and 'Woodwinked'. I know you may notice I have not yet added any more eyeshadows to my palette but that is because I am waiting to go back to Florida as there certainly is a difference in price haha! These are the eyeshadows -

The top one is Girlie by MAC and the one underneath is Woodwinked by MAC. I apply Girlie first all over both lids with a MAC 239 brush...

Then, using woodwinked draw a line where you would like your wings to go.

To complete the wing part, just simply fill in the gap you have left still using the 239 brush and woodwinked eyeshadow...

Step 6 - Eyeliner & Eye pencil. For on top of the eye I use the Rimmel Black gel liner, and for the waterline I use the Rimmel Soft Kohl eye pencil.

When using the gel liner, I simply draw a thin line on top of my eye lashes just to give more definition...

Step 7 - Mascara. The mascara I use and love dearly is the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde mascara. This mascara is my all time favourite!

Firstly, I do curl my eyelashes with some eye curlers which I do believe I bought from Primark. I'm sure most of you don't need telling how to apply mascara haha. So apply any mascara that you own and that is one step closer to the end of the look!

Finally to finish off, step 8 is lipstick! Personally, with this make up look I think a simple nude pink finishes it off perfectly. I am going to be using the Revlon Colorburst 'lip lacquer balm' in the shade 105 Demure. However, before that I apply the Burt's Bees nourishing lip balm with mango butter just to add moisture to the lips.
This last picture is going to be the finished look...

I hope you have enjoyed this post and given you some insight on different make up looks that people are wearing at the moment! I would love to see anyone re-making this make up look's pictures you can email me them or even leave the links in the comment box.

Thank you so much for reading...

Revlon Colorburst chubby stick review!

Hey guys! So I know I promised my next post was going to be a look book but if you live in the UK like me you will all know how rubbish the weather has been! Not very Autumnal... Also I have just received my new camera and all I can say is my actual iPhone 5 camera is better than my digital one. So I am very disappointed with that. Anyway, this post is going to be my first ever review on a product so I am excited!

Right, so most of you will know that I am a big fan of chubby sticks as they totally overrule my lipstick collection all together. I find that chubby sticks are softer and kinder to your lips as they are extremely moisturising. When I first started getting more and more into make up I ventured out of my comfort zone which was buying really light coloured lipsticks and thinking I was the Queen B to saving up my money and buying more upmarket brands for example Revlon. However, I decided to start buying Revlon chubby sticks when I was in Florida. I was cosmetic shopping in Wal-Mart and that is when I came across these beauties...

I found these and instantly loved all of the colours Revlon had. However, as always that day I was on a budget and could only afford to be three. Most of you will know that the make up over in America is a lot cheaper than in the UK so if you go, make sure you stock up!

The first one shown at the top is in the shade - 245 Audacious. I have mentioned this in my July Favourites post.

This colour is really bright. I think you could definitely wear this on a summery day and if you go on a night out! It is a matte colour so if you prefer shinier chubby sticks I would not go for this one as it doesn't look glossy at all. Or, you could run a shiny lip balm over the top so it could go both ways. If you would like to learn more about this colour or even purchase the product, click here.

The second one shown is in the shade - 020 Lovesick Passsionee. I have recently mentioned this chubby stick in my Everyday make-up routine.

This is my go to colour. I can wear this all day everyday if I had to. It goes with all my outfits and brightens up my face even on the dullest days! It leaves a shiny finish (which personally is my favourite type) and stays on the lips for a long time. This colour is by far my favourite of all the ones I own. If you would like to learn more about this product or even purchase it, please click here.

The last one shown on the picture is in the shade - 105 Demure.

I have to say, this is my least favourite out of them all as I can't really see it on my lips. I do not mind lighter shades but they have to be just a little pigmented otherwise they are almost pointless. I have worn this colour around three times and have found myself putting a more prominent colour over the top. It does contain glitter but does not come out as shiny as you would think it would. If you are a lover of really light shades be sure to check this one out or even purchase it, you can click here.

Swatches of these shades...

Top - Demure
Middle - Lovesick Passionee
Bottom - Audacious

That guys is the end of my first review! I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to leave any questions about any of the products mentioned in the comments and I will reply to them as quick as I possibly can.

Thank you so much for reading!

Autumn inspired haul!

Hey guys, so as we all know it is now changing seasons and we are going into Autumn which of course means we have to say goodbye to our Summer clothes and say hello to our coats, scarves and gloves! Honestly, I prefer the colder seasons as I love getting cosy and snug in big winter scarves and coats. Now I know we aren't in Winter yet so I guess we don't have to get the massive coats out just yet but we girls are in definite need of snug cardigans and jackets. As I love the colder seasons, every year I really look forward going shopping and buying Autumn weather clothes and get to buy the Autumn beauty must haves. For example, darker coloured nail varnishes, eye shadows and finally lipsticks. So me and mum went shopping and I bought some amazing clothes for Autumn and i'm going to show you what I purchased over the past couple of weeks! I hope you enjoy!

Overview of what I purchased.

So as you can see from the picture I have gone for the more darker coloured products. Firstly, I am going to start with my Autumn beauty buys...

The first thing I went to look for was nail varnish. Now, I am a lover of wearing summery nail polish colours all year round because I find them the most prettiest and look nicest on my nails. However, this year I decided I am going to buy for the seasons and so far I have stuck to it! So I went into superdrug expecting to be disappointed with the selection of seasonal nail varnishes they had. I was so wrong! I found three that I loved. The first one I bought was...

This colour is called Lychee by Barry M Cosmetics. I would never normally go for this colour but I thought I would try it. I painted my nails with it when I got home and I really liked it. I also think that it would go well with Autumn inspired clothing.

The next colour I bought is my favourite of the three...

This colour is called Copacabana also by Barry M, Again, I would not normally go for this nail varnish as it is Matte and I am a big fan of Barry M's Hi-shine nail polish but I thought I would give it a go. I am so glad I did! I bought this a couple of days after I bought the Lychee one and straight when I got home I painted my nails with this colour and I love it. I still have it on my nails now so I will put a picture of it on my nails up...

It is a very vibrant red colour and I am sure it will look amazing in Autumn.

The last nail varnish I purchased was this one...

This is the colour Cappuccino by Barry M. As you can tell I am a big fan of Barry M nail varnish haha! So, I know this colour has been around for quite some time and in the past, I have bought it twice before so I do know I love it and is one of my top colours. This is perfect for Autumn as usually brown is a major colour in the leaves etc.

Now, leaving the nail varnishes, I am now going to be showing you what lip product and perfume I purchased.

Starting off with the lip product I bought this one from Lush...

I have been hearing people rave about this product for over a month. I finally jumped on the bandwagon and bought one. I know they have three different smells/tastes including 'Mint Julips', 'Bubblegum' and finally 'Popcorn' which is the one as you can see I bought. I didn't really know what they are meant to do until I asked one of the sales advisers in the store. So apparently they are meant to keep lips soft and hydrated and remove the oh so common 'dryness' of the lips especially in the colder seasons. Plus, you can lick it off your lips and eat it! Pretty amazing and I can honestly say they taste incredible. The price of the lip scrubs are extremely reasonable and I'm sure this product will be helpful to me as my lips become dry in the winter.

Onto the perfume buy, I have been purchasing this product for over a year and I just can't get enough of it...

It is of course the 'Lady Million' perfume by Paco Rabanne. Every now and then I like a perfume that has a strong scent but it is rare. I normally go for fruity/sweet scents. That is until I came across this and I have loved it for ages. Lady Million is the perfect perfume for Autumn/Winter as it has a hint of musk and that goes down well with everything in Winter and I will be using this every day until it comes back round to Summer.

That is the end to my beauty purchases and now onto clothing and footwear yay!

Firstly I am going to be starting with the amazing jacket that I instantlly fell for...

Now I know and I'm sure most of you know it is quite difficult to get a good picture of clothes when you aren't wearing them so to help you get the gist of this jacket I am going to do a Autumn look book of the outfit I purchased and other items of clothing they will all go well with, make sure you keep tuned if you want to see that! So onto the jacket, when I saw the jacket in the Dorothy Perkins I immediately liked it but that day I was on a budget so as I am sure we all know when we are on budgets paying £35 for an item of clothing isn't really on our lists to do! Although, paying £35 for a piece of clothing that you really really like doesn't seem too bad... does it? Guilty as charged, I spent £35 and of course after that I was skint and had to put everything else on my mums card! Bad idea but oh well! This cardigan type jacket is so so comfy and goes well with everything in my wardrobe so overall I am so glad I bought it. It is pricey but it is extremely worth it.
If you would like to go and buy/have a look at this item click here.

Next up is a top from River Island...

One of the main reasons I like this top is because it has the best place in the world wrote on it... New York! As depressing as it seems, I have never actually been to New York but I have been wanting to go there since I was like 5. I am still waiting... Anyway I really really like this top not only because of what it says but I really like the colour. Maroon is a very Autumn inspired colour and it fits really well. It also goes well with my jacket. Plus, the price is so good! Unfortunatley I can't find this product on the website but if you would like to look more into this item or even buy it be sure to check in your local River Island shop.

The next thing I bought was this jumper/top also from River Island...

Now I know this picture isn't the best but I will wear this in my Autumn inspired look book so make sure you check it out! I think this top has Autumn wrote all over it. The flowers, the colours and the style.  It has three quarter sleeves so it does keep your arms warm and the flower print looks amazing. I have literally been wearing this for the past week, I just can't get enough! Again, I am unable to find this on the River Island website but make sure you check your local shop out and they might still have it on the shelves.

The last item of clothing I bought were these...

These jeans are like my best friend. I wear them nearly everyday and I own three pairs. These are by the brand MOTO from Topshop. They are quite pricey but definitely a life saver for girls who are not so skinny as they are stretchy. Joni jeans are made for taller people as they are high waisted but I buy them in bigger size and yes they do come high up but I just put a baggy top over the top and you are ready to go! Girls who are like me and aren't the skinniest of people I would definitely purchase these as they do stretch and are very flattering. Also they are perfect for the colder seasons as they are thick material and keep your legs warm. If you would like to check these out or if you want to buy these click here.

Finally, the last thing I bought was these amazing boots from River Island...

First and foremost, these boots were the ultimate buy and I love them dearly. These are also from River Island and I trust River Island's quality so I had no problem buying these. I had been wanting some boots for Autumn for a long time and I just could not find any that really caught my eye. Until these that is! I saw these boots when I went shopping with my friend Anna but I had no money then so I had to leave them behind, I was really upset about it I wanted them that bad. I went shopping with my mum (when I eventually got paid) expecting these to be sold out and I would be without them! To my surprise they had loads in. I searched for a size 5 for around 5 minutes and I just could not find any. I was so close to just giving up when one of the sales people brought a couple of pairs out and put them back on the stand they were all on. There they were... one pair of size 5's and with no hesitation I picked them up and bought them. Thank god! haha. If you would like to (hopefully) find your size and buy them or just to have a look at them click here

That guys is the end of my Autumn inspired haul post! I hope you have enjoyed finding out what is in the shops at the moment and has given you an insight to what I am wearing this Autumn. Make sure you keep checking for my Autumn look book post which will be coming up as soon as I get my camera fixed!!

Thank you so much for reading...
Sorry it has been so long!

August favourites.

Hi guys, today I am going to be blogging about things I had been loving in the month of August. Otherwise known as my August favourites!

Overview of the things I have been loving!

I am going to be starting off with my make up/beauty favorites. So number one, I have been absolutely obsessed with this concealer from Rimmel London. It is the Rimmel 'Wake me Up' concealer in the shade 040 Soft Beige. A quick swatch picture coming up..

I know I have said in My everyday make up routine post that I don't wear foundation or concealer. However, recently I have been developing dark under eye circles which are a real pain in the butt! So I explored all the different ways of getting rid of them including putting cucumber on my eyes but none of them worked. I came upon the last solution which of course was wearing concealer, I really did not want to start using concealer but that has now changed! It has done me proud, I just simply dab a bit under my eyes and smoothly rub it in with the tip of my finger and they disappear, it's like magic!  I would recommend this concealer to every girl who suffers from bags.

The next thing I had been loving in August was this chubby stick from Rimmel London also! It is the 'Rimmel Lasting Colour Rush' in the shade 600 I'm on fire. A quick swatch of this product..

Personally, I think this colour is great for summer. It will brighten up your face no matter what, even if you aren't going out anywhere special and just popping to the shops, simply apply this and you are ready to go! Plus, I don't know if they all do, but this one smells amazing!

Sticking with my beauty favourites, I am going to be doing a 'Perfume of the month' and a 'Nail colour of the month'. So to start off, my perfume of the month is the Marc Jacobs - Eau So Fresh. I have mentioned this perfume in some of my posts before including my 'First ever haul blog post!' I used this every single day in August and I am still incredibly in love with it!

I do realise this perfume is on the pricey side, but I can honestly say it smells amazing and brightens up your day!

Now on to my favourite nail colour of the month... It has to be Barry M in the colour 'Mango'. Usually, I am not a fan of orange coloured nail polish's as I have very pale skin and it washes me out. However, as I had been in Italy for 2 weeks I actually had a tan in August so this colour was perfect. I do currently have this colour on my nails so here is a picture of it on...

It definitely is a summer colour, but I know it is getting into the colder seasons so maybe keep this for a sunny week!

For the last product in the beauty category, in August I really enjoyed using the Simple 'Kind to Skin' cleansing face wipes.

I have very dry skin and especially on my eyes. I have been searching for the right facial wipes for months until I came across these ones. I used these every day in August and I saw a big difference in my skin. I will say at the start of this month I have found a new love for the L'oreal face wipes so I will be sure to mention those in my September favourites.

Moving onto my non-beauty favourites... I will start off with my favourite book in August. The book I loved is 'A Gift to Remember' by Melissa Hill.

I started reading this book during my holiday in Italy. I instantly got addicted to it and simply just could not put it down! I would recommend this to every teenage girl who likes romance and just girly books in general.

Now for TV series/films. Oh lordy... before I start on this, I will warn you I have been staying up until 2:00 am every night watching these box sets and I am ridiculously addicted.

The Vampire Diaries. In August I have been obsessed with The Vampire Diaries, I can honestly say, when I was on holiday I had withdrawal symptoms from it. I am in love with all the male characters, especially Ian Somerhalder who plays Damon Salvatore. Anyhow, that is my TV series/film favourite of the month. In one month me and my mum have gone through 3 seasons each with 23 episodes. That says it all really doesn't it! Some of the episodes do scare me but nothing major! So I would recommend them to anyone who is a Twilight fan and is 15 and over.

That guys is the end of my August Favourites, I am thinking of doing a September/Autumn look book and show you outfits that I will be wearing this month.

I hope you enjoyed finding out what I had been loving August and stay tuned for my next blog which I think is going to be an Autumn inspired haul!

Thank you for reading guys!

The Liebster Award

Hi guys, so today I am going to be posting about The Liebster Award! I still am not too sure about how it works and have been nominated by plenty of people but I have been putting it off for a while due to me not knowing what the heck it is haha!

After plenty of research... I can now tell you what The Liebster award is. Here we go...
So, this award is for new and upcoming bloggers and is a great way to find new fantastic bloggers with amazing blogs! I am still kinda new to the blogging world and it is crazy to have been nominated by a few bloggers for this award. A big thank you to some of the people who have nominated me and those people are, Katyy G - , Wallflower, Amie Barlow, Stephanie Louise and Urika Chiu. So thank you again! Please take a look at their blogs also.

The rules for The Liebster Award are as follows -

1. Acknowledge nominated you by linking back to their blog.

If you want you can also display the Liebster Award Button on your blog. The button can be found in this post

    2. Answer eleven questions that
 have been given to you.

3. Nominate eleven blogs you think deserve
the award. Try and make sure
they have 200 followers or less.

4. Let the blogger know you have
nominated them.

5. Give them eleven questions to answer.

Right now to the questions that I think I have to answer, now I am going to do a mixture of questions I have been asked from all the lovely bloggers who nominated me.

1.  What is your greatest achievement?
I would say that my greatest achievement so far is making a blog. I am so happy that I did start up a blog because I enjoy it sharing things with people who I would never normally meet and it is a place I can go to whenever I feel like talking about things and sharing new things I buy etc. I also think that reaching 100 followers on Bloglovin'! I think that's pretty great!

2.  What is the one food you could not live without?
That would be by far chips and curry sauce. That is in my opinion the best food ever made. I love everything about it.

3.  Favourite movie/TV series?

Okay so my favourite movie of all time is Pitch Perfect. I absolutely adore that film and have watched it over a thousand times. I know every single word of the film and can sing along to all the songs they sing haha!
My favourite TV series is by far The Vampire Diaries. First of all, I am in love with all of the guys that star in it. Especially Ian Somerhalder who played Damon Salvatore and Elena's (the main girl character) brother Jeremy Gilbert who is played by Steven R. McQueen. So that plays a bit part in why I love it so much!! I also really love the storyline. It is so intense that when it finishes you straight away can't wait for the next episode! I would recommend it to everyone! The only downfall to it is that it is sometimes a little bit scary!

4. What are you most scared about?
At the moment, I am most scared about deciding if I want to go to University or not. It is quite
difficult for me because all my friends are all set for Uni and I am just so unprepared and sometimes I feel lost!

5. What is your favourite clothing store?
I have two clothing stores that are my favourite and they are, River Island and Topshop.

6. What makes you nervous?
The thing that most makes me nervous is change. I would much prefer to stick with what I know. However, very recently I have made some big changes in my life and at the moment are happy with what has changed.

                       7. If you could go one place in the world, where would it be and why?
If I could go to one place it would be New York City. If I was able to go there I would be the happiest girl in the world. It has everything there, the fashion, beauty, art galleries and plenty of American boys! Haha.

8. What is your favourite time of the year?
My favourite time of the year is definitely Winter. I love everything about it. Christmas, the Wintery items of clothing and the coldness!

9.  Which Disney movie is your favourite?
The best Disney move in my opinion is Beauty & The Beast. I just love it!!

10. Do you have any siblings? If so what are their names and ages?
I have a brother and a sister. My sister is called Vanessa and she is 26 this month! My brother is called Ashley and he is 23.

11.  Are you more of a cat or dog person?
I don't actually have any pets but I am definitely more of a cute kitten type of person! Especially Kourtney Kardashians!

My questions -

1. If you could live in any country what would it be and why?
2. Who's your celebrity crush?
3. What is your favourite film?
4. Who is your favourite Kardashian?
5. Who inspires you and why?
6. Samsung or Apple?
7. Winter or Summer?
8. What is your favourite comfort food?
9. Which accent do you prefer, American or British?
10. Best childhood memory?
11. Hershey's or Cadburys chocolate?

I nominate -

                                                                       Rachel Soetens

                                                                        Rita Macedo

                                                                 Laura Norman-Phipps

                                                                      Lauren's Looks

                                                                       Chloe Barnes

                                                                       Emily Webb

                                                                          Cristina

                                                                  Sammy-Jo Richards

                                                                         Beverley.

Good luck! If I have tagged you please comment below with a link to your Liebster Award post so I can read your answers too! :)

Mini home/bedroom haul and a few new bedroom touch ups!

Hi guys! I know I haven't posted in a while but I have been ridiculously busy!

Here is my latest post and it is going to be a bedroom/home haul and I am going to be showing you little things that I have added to my bedroom in August.

So first of all, every now and then I like to treat myself to a new bed quilt as (embarrassingly) I still have Barbie ones in my wardrobe haha! So me and my mum went shopping and I bought a new bed quilt from BHS. It looks like this -

It is a patchwork quilt which in my case I love, I have like 5 patchwork quilts! I have this on my bed now but the one thing I dislike about it is the material. It is quite rough and I prefer softer material quilts. I think the price of this wasn't too bad as it had been discounted.

The next thing I bought for my bedroom is this -

This is a American style napkin dispenser. I know this is extremely random but I am trying to make my bedroom look slightly American themed. I bought this also from BHS in the sale for I think about £4 which for me is quite cheap! As I have a big love for anything American I really really liked this and it is currently sitting on my dresser table.

The next items I am going to show you I have sort of made myself. The first one I am going to show you is -

I had a crazy idea when I got back from my holiday in Florida and wanted to make my bedroom American themed as I have said before. I had the idea of making picture frames like this for when I have been somewhere that is special to me. In this frame there are three post cards that have pictures of the most prettiest sights in Rome. I have also mentioned that I have just got back from going to Italy with my friend and actually bought these in Rome itself. The picture frame is from Wilkinsons and was around £6. I really love the pictures in the frame and they do mean a lot to me. I have this on my wall when I walk into my bedroom so it is the first thing I see.

I also have another one like this but with postcards from Florida -

My mum actually bought me these on holiday and it was her idea to frame them and put them on my walls. These pictures are beautiful scenery pictures all around Florida. The frame is exactly the same as my one for Rome. I love them!

Last but not least, where I stayed in Italy they had a market on Sundays and me and Anna went and I found this..

I really love snow globes and I do collect them. My brother and his fiancé went to New York and brought me back one from there and I love it. This is another to my collection! I love the fact that it is a scooter and it looks so cute! In the middle it has a little statue inside which is meant to be Florence town and it gets better.. it was only 2 Euros which is a bargain!

That guys is the end of this post and I hope you have enjoyed finding out a little bit about how I have decorated my room recently.
Thank you so much for reading and please don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' and google+!
