OOTD & Meal out!

Hey guys! So, last night I went for a meal out with my friends to Pizza Express! This blog post is going to be about what I wore and what I had for my meal! It is a little bit different but I hope you like it!

This is what I wore to my meal -

Now, I will start from top to bottom with the items I wore!
I paired a plain black peplum top with my Aztec printed skirt. My top is from the River Island sale for just £15. The material is quite thick so it is good if you go out on a chilly night as it will keep you warm. The sleeves come down to your elbows which is perfect for me as I don't really like wearing short sleeved tops. As this product was in the sale I unfortunately can't find this on the website anymore but not always is it on the website but can be still in stores.

My skirt is from River Island also but I bought it quite a while ago so unfortunately again I can't find the link I am sorry guys! This skirt is beige and black Aztec print and is a cotton material. What I will say about this product is that it doesn't really look nice below the knee as it bunches up so I have to pull it up high so it just stops at my knees. I think this skirt was around £20 from River Island.
This is the print on the skirt in more detail -

Of course you can probably see I wore my blue sandals that I showed in my last haul post.  I absolutely love these shoes and they went really well with my outfit. But the bad thing is, is that they did hurt my feet and left a few cuts and blisters so they aren't exactly the comfiest shoes! They do look amazing on and go with a lot of different outfits!

To compliment my shoes I wore a necklace that is the same colour as the shoes, here is the necklace -
I adore this necklace so much. I love the colour and the pattern. I also got this in the sale at Dorothy Perkins and also got 10% student discount so it was a bargain! It is a great length as I don't like them to be too high, I prefer them to be lower down and on my top!  Unfortunately this product I think got discontinued before summer. However there is one very similar to this on the website and the link for that is - http://www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/accessories-203537/fashion-jewellery-203576/necklaces-1735365/large-flower-pendant-necklace-3050511?refinements=category~%5b212424%7c208724%5d&bi=1&ps=200

For a bag, to go with  my outfit I used a little black bag from river Island that I love! It is a perfect size for me because I don't carry much in my bag! The bag was from the River Island sale for £10. I was very lucky as it was the last one on the table so I grabbed it as fast as I could! Again, this product isn't on the website but I will show you a picture and hopefully one might be left in a River Island store near you.

Last but not least I finished off my outfit with my beautiful Michael Kors watch. I bought this watch in Florida because it works out so much cheaper! This watch is £229 in the UK and $250 in the US. This is a picture of my watch -
That guys is what I wore for my meal out!

For the meal, we went to Pizza Express in my local town and it was so lovely! Me and my friends all got pizza and this was what I got -
I would advise everyone to go to Pizza Express and I would say to the people who have a NUS Extra student card you can get up to 40% off your meal!

That is the end of my post! I hope you enjoyed and I know it is a little random but I did just want to share what I wore and what I got for my meal out!
Thank you so much for reading and please feel free to share any blog post requests or feedback!

My everyday make up routine.

Hi guys! So today my blog post is going to be about my everyday make up routine. I hope you like!

As I have said in a previous blog, I do not wear any type of foundation, concealer or even press powder. So these are the product I use day to day.

So as you can see I mainly stick to the eyes and lips!

The first product I use is my Sleek eye brow palette which I believe are sold in Superdrug.

Now on the left of this palette is an eyebrow wax. This is for you to make your eyebrows more defined and looking more like HD brows. However, I do not use the wax for my eyebrows as I get mine waxed every month and the shape is perfect for me so I just use the product on the left of the palette, which is just a brown powder. I have very light blonde hair so this palette is in the shade, Light 817. The colour of the powder is very minimal but just gives the brow more definition as it darkens it very slightly.  I would advise all girls/ladies with blonde hair to get this palette! I just dab the applicator into the powder and shade in my eyebrows. This palette does come with a little shade brush, tweezers and a bush for the wax. Although I have unfortunately have lost the wax brush and the tweezers! :(

Then, the second product I use is my Urban Decay eye shadow primer potion,

This product is one of the best purchases I have ever made! It sets my eye shadow on perfectly and does not make it crease! I simply squeeze a bit onto my finger and gently rub it across my eyelids until it is all soaked in. I do believe this product is quite pricy but extremely worth it!

The next thing I do is apply my eye shadows. Now normally I apply a lighter shade all over my lid and use a darker one on the outside and through my crease. Today, I am going to use Retrospeck by MAC and Woodwinked by MAC.

MAC eye shadows are in my opinion the best eye shadows! They go on perfect and never crease. I have mentioned in my Newcomer to MAC Cosmetics that I prefer lighter more golden shades.

Then I move on to my gel eyeliner by Rimmel London.
This gel eyeliner comes with a applicator brush which you use to apply the product. I personally started getting into gel liner around 2 months ago, I used to use a liquid liner but it sometimes made my skin irritated so I started using gel liner. I personally think gel liner is the best type. I believe they sell this product in Boots and Superdrug. The link to this product - http://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Eyes/Eyeliner/Rimmel-Gel-Liner-Black/p/910758#.U9KZXVxwbmQ

After applying my eyeliner I go onto my mascara. The one I am currently using is the Boujour Paris, Volume 1 seconde mascara.

Firstly, I start by curling my eyelashes with these eyelash curlers which honestly I am not too sure where I got these from! Sorry guys! So after curling my eyelashes I apply my mascara and let it dry. I have tried so many mascaras and I have been disappointed with all of them until this one from Boujour Paris! I would advise everyone to head out and buy this as it is one of my favourite mascaras ever!

Lastly its time for the lips! Now I must say I have way too many lipsticks and chubby sticks! I may for my next blog post show my favourites for you to see! Please feel free to leave comments with suggestions on what I should do for my next post! Anyway the chubby stick I use most days is this one from Revlon.
Before putting my chubby stick on I apply a little bit of Vaseline onto my lips just for moisture. The chubby stick shown is actually from Walmart in Florida because all of the make up there is so much cheaper! The chubby stick is in the colour, 020 Lovesick Passionnee. This is by far my favourite brand who sell chubby sticks as they are really moisturising and smell so good! On the lip it looks like a strong darker pink but it is lovely! I would advise girls who love pink lips to go and purchase this! The link to this product is - http://www.boots.com/en/Revlon-ColorBurst-™-Balm-Stain_1208067/

Finally, I quickly spray a little bit of MAC Fix + onto my face to set my make up and Voila that is my everyday make up finished!
I hope you have enjoyed this post and please feel free to leave any comments about suggestions for new posts that you would like to see!
Thank you for reading this!

First ever haul blog post!

Hey! This blog post is going to be a mini haul post and I will be showing you a few things I have purchased recently. I hope you enjoy!

So as all girls can probably say they are a lover of shoes, so of course I am a definite shoe lover and can't go shopping without buying a new pair of shoes. Or in this case two pairs.

These are the first pair I purchased,

Now I can strongly say I am in love with these shoes. They are from a shop called Topshop which I believe are situated in the UK and now internationally. I have been looking for a pair of summery sandals for a very long time because all the ones I have are now tatty and aren't the best looking. I went shopping at the weekend in search of a new pair and came across these beautiful things. Now I do know that Topshop shoes can be very expensive but fortunately I get 10% student discount so it makes it a little bit cheaper. These sandals are £32 from Topshop, but I can honestly say they are extremely comfortable and look amazing on. They have a small block heel which in my case is fantastic because I really can't walk in high heels so the heels on these shoes are perfect for my taste. As I am going on holiday to Italy in just under 2 weeks I will be taking these with me. I also love the detail on these shoes, the faux white leather makes them look very summery and especially the daises that are stuck on the straps look very cute and summery.

I would say these go with many different outfits for daytime and in the evening.

The second pair of shoes I purchased were these,

As I have just previously said, I really am not good at wearing high heels and I only own one pair and they have never once left my wardrobe! However, when I came across these I instantly fell in love and had to buy these immediately. These shoes a from a shop in the UK called Dorothy Perkins. Now, I am not a big shopper in Dorothy Perkins but some of my family members are and they wanted to go in and look around. Of course I went straight to the shoe section (as I'm sure most girls do) and came across these, they are a faux leather material and a very light frosty blue colour. I really did love the colour of them and it played a huge part of me wanting them. Same as the other pair I bought they have a block heel and are not very high so easier for me to wear! I believe these shoes are £25 from Dorothy Perkins but also you can get 10% student discount so I got 10% off them as well as the ones from Topshop.

These shoes are very comfortable and ideal for if you say go out for a meal or to somewhere nice. I would also say you can wear them with any daytime or in the evening outfit.

The next thing I bought was the Marc Jacobs Daisy 'Eau So Fresh' perfume.

Now normally, this perfume would be extremely out of my price range and would never normally even consider buying this perfume as it is priced over £50. However, since getting my job I have had some money behind me, so on this shopping trip with my mum I went into Boots and started smelling all the different perfumes and then I came across this one. I instantly loved the smell and asked a sales adviser how much it was. I finally left Boots shocked by the price until my mum said I should treat myself to it. Of course that was the push I needed and I started going to all of the perfume shops and price checking the perfume. I found the cheapest one for 75ml was from The Fragrance Shop. Overall I was really really happy I bought this because I finally have something that I can say I bought with my own money.

I can also say the packaging for this perfume is so beautiful and pretty, (also one of the reasons for buying it). The scent of this perfume is amazing and goes well with any time of day. I personally use this when going out for a meal or even just a walk around my local shops. I would highly recommend this perfume if you are like me and every now and then want to treat yourself!

My last purchase on the shopping trip was this,

My beloved Tangle Teezer!!
I had heard people raving about this product for a long long time, but I just didn't get what all the fuss was about. That is until I bought this product. I had been dealing with quite a lot of hair loss due to me almost killing my hair. I nearly killed my hair because what I was doing was when getting out of the shower, my hair gets like knot city and I used to rag my hair brush through and that is why all of a sudden my hair got really thin and lifeless. So a tip for today, DO NOT rag a brush through knotty hair! The best thing about Tangle Teezers are that they have very wide bristles that are nicer to hair and do not pull it out. As I have very long hair I would say Tangle Teezers are the best way to stop hair being pulled out when you have knotty hair.

These are the bristles that Tangle Teezers have and are very caring towards the hair and treat/brush it better than any normal brush would. I would advise anyone who gets very knotty hair to go out and buy a Tangle Teezer. My Tangle Teezer is a compact one so it comes with a little sort of lid to keep it clean. The compact Tangle Teezer is slightly more expensive from Boots as it is £12.49 and the normal sized ones are £10.99 from Boots.

So, I hope you have enjoyed reading about my new purchases and I hope it might give you some insight to what is in the shops lately!

Newcomer to M.A.C Cosmetics and starting off my MAC eye shadow palette.

Hello! My name is Melissa Victoria and I am just starting out in the world of blogging. My blog will be about fashion and beauty. I hope you like it!

I've just recently started getting into Make Up, I never wore and still do not wear excessive amounts, I keep it minimal and finish it off with a bright lipstick. When buying make up, I was and still can be a high street make up buyer, mainly in the two only drugstores in the UK which are Superdrug and Boots. However, recently I have been getting more and more interested in the make up industry and finding out and experimenting with more high end make up brands for example, MAC Cosmetics.
I used to think MAC Cosmetics was ridiculously over priced and was probably just the same as high street products, but of course I was wrong. When I first visited the website I searched through the products and was extremely drawn into the eye shadow and lipstick sections. This is probably a good time to mention I do not wear foundation, press powder or anything that is in the same category.  I stick to the eyes and lips! When scrolling through the MAC website I come across the eye shadows and searching through all the different colours that consist of pinks, blues, purples, oranges, lighter golden colours, I came across one called Woodwinked, this has a deeper gold tone to it and is gorgeous! I recognised it because one of my friends had it in her make up bag and I straight away found it and fell in love with this colour.
This is the colour Woodwinked by MAC -

For days and days I was constantly on the MAC website looking through all the different eye shadow colours and deciding which ones I wanted, but at that time I didn't have a job and the only way I would of been able to get these is through my parents, and lets just say my parents are not fans of spending £13 on one eye shadow and I'm sure lots of you might have the same problem! So I had to leave the idea and just focus on getting a job so I can finally buy the eye shadows from my own money!
About 2 weeks after I had this obsession with MAC eye shadows I finally got a job and to top it off I found out I was going to Florida on holiday! When I figured out how much money I would end up getting on pay day I had already spent it a million times over. Then my mum mentioned the MAC make up would be much cheaper over in Florida and of course my obsession reared its ugly head again.

So, overall I came back from Florida with a MAC palette containing three amazing eye shadows and a MAC 239 brush. My thoughts and what eye shadows I purchased are below.

The three eye shadows I bought were,
Woodwinked which is at the bottom,
Girlie which is in the middle and finally Retrospeck which is the one right at the top.

Personally, I love each and everyone one of my eye shadows. I tend to use Retrospeck and Girlie in the inner part of my eye and then blend Woodwinked across my eye socket and on the outsides of my eye lid to create a more smoky eye effect. The MAC 239 brush is designed for putting eye shadow all over the lid. As my skin is very pale I prefer lighter more golden shades for my eyes. For blending, the MAC 217 brush is designed for blending a darker shade on the outer part of the lid so that's just a tip, if you are wanting to use MAC brushes MAC 239 is for the whole lid area and the MAC 217 brush is for blending in the outer corners. Currently, I only have the MAC 239 brush,

I definitely need to purchase the MAC 217 brush as the MAC 239 isn't very good for blending.

That guys is the end of my first blog post! I really hope it helped anyone who is trying to start out in MAC eye shadows. I will be blogging weekly so make sure you look out for my next blog and thanks for reading!
