A Day In Celebration FL

On my recent visit to Florida me & my family travelled to a little town called Celebration.

It is your typical American town that has the best scenery.

Celebration is one of my favourite places I have ever visited & I love to share pictures of places I have visited to give you some insight in where to visit.

If you are ever in Florida I would definitely try to visit Celebration as it is truly beautiful.

There is a really American style cafe in the centre of the town which sells cola floats which are typical American style drinks which consists of cola & ice cream! They are amazingly good!

Also in the centre of Celebration there is a huge lake & beside the lake there are rocking chairs where you can just sit & watch the world go by. However, alligators live in that lake which makes me a little but weary to sit there for too long...

My ultimate favourite ice cream parlour is in Celebration. The smell in that place is amazing it literally smells like fudge. They also have a crazy amount of different ice creams which I am sure are all amazing.

Unfortunately, this french pastries shop wasn't open when I was there which I was very sad about but I loved the sign so hopefully when I go back in the future it will be open!

Behind the lakes where you can walk around I spotted this guy! I couldn't believe it. After I took this picture I started to walk very fast...

You can actually hire bikes & cycle around the different lakes & take in all the picturesque scenery.

It is the simple things that make me happy. I had to take a picture of the stereotypical mail box!

I had to also take a picture of this really cute boutique because of the name. I am obsessed with the show on Netflix called Once Upon A Time so this also made me very happy!

Of course, the type of house we all see in American movies with the rocking chairs on the porches & the American flag. I so want to live here...

I love everything about Celebration & I hope you have enjoyed looking what the town has to offer & if you do go to Florida definitely visit Celebration. It is like the dreamiest town.

Review: Maybelline 'Brow Drama'

I actually bought this product in my recent visit to Florida, I had heard a lot about this & I really wanted to see what the fuss was about.

Honestly, I am in love with this product. I have tried a couple of eye brow products in the past including Benefits 'Brow Zing' brow shaping kit & the drugstore dupe Sleek's Brow Kit which are both one side powder & the other side wax.

This product is very different than the ones I have used in the past as it is a gel substance.

As you can see the applicator is a lot like a mascara brush but in a rounded shape.

This makes the product very easy to apply & the wand picks up all the little hairs that you can't see which makes your eyebrows look fuller.

I tend to apply this product by lightly stroking the rounded end upward towards the top of the brow & then continuing this motion along the rest of the eyebrow.

I could definitely see the difference this product made to my eyebrows. Also the wear time of this product is incredible, it stayed on my eyebrows all night until I got home. Again, especially wearing this product in a hot country, I did worry about it smudging but thankfully it kept my eyebrows looking great all night long!

The price of this product is around the average £5.00 mark. You really can't go wrong...

If you are just starting out in makeup or trying out different things on your brows I would definitely recommend this product as it is very easy to apply & you can't really go wrong.

Overall, I am very happy I purchased this product & I will keep buying it until I find something better (that is if I do find something better!).

What are your thoughts on this product?

Love,

Melissa Victoria x

A Bit Of Lush Loving (Haul)

Hey guys, I hope you are all well!

I am just going to start this post off by saying sorry I haven't blogged in a while. If I am being honest, I just needed to take a few days off and think up some new blogging ideas. I would love to hear any requests from you guys what you might want me to do a post on.

Recently, I haven't really been wanting to go shopping as I am trying to save my money... (probably never going to happen). That is until I went into Lush and wanted to by everything.

So this is my Lush haul, hope you enjoy...

The first thing I picked up was a Honey Bee bath ballistic -

Let me just say, this bath bomb smells incredible. It smells like a mixture between honey and vanilla. When I walked into Lush I saw the little sign next to it and at first, I thought I wouldn't like the smell but I was so wrong. This bath bomb is meant to moisturise and cleanse skin. I think I will review these products and share my thoughts with you! I will also say the size of this bath bomb is HUGE so for the price it is really good for the money.  I believe it is priced at £3.35.

Blackberry Bath ballistic. I would say this was an impulse buy, when I got home, I decided i'm not a huge lover of the scent of this bath bomb but hey ho, I am sure I will use it. According to the Lush website it makes you feel relaxed and soothed so we shall see! It smells a little bit like a scented soap? The colour isn't all that exciting but I will see what it turns my bath water like when I use it. Then let you guys know or has anyone used it before and could let me know? I believe the price of this bath bomb is £3.25.

Space Girl bath bomb -

The smell of this bath bomb is insanely good, I could eat it. This is my favourite purchase of the day, that I will say! It genuinely smells like refresher sweets, do they still sell those? I think they do. I am so excited to try this bath bomb out and it was only £2.35, so not that expensive at all. Space Girl is also meant to cleanse and moisturise skin so look out for the reviews!

The last thing I purchased was this...

Dragon's Egg bath bomb -

To be honest, I am still unsure if I like the scent of this bath bomb or not. It is a very sweet scent and I am just a little worried it might get too sickly but I will give it a try. I would say it smells like citrusy sherbet, so normally I would really like the smell but I am unsure. This bath bomb is also extremely big (practically like the size of my head!) I liked the sound of Dragon's Egg so I think realistically I bought it just for the name but oh well! Why not... The price of this bath bomb is £3.35.

That brings you to the end to this post guys!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned? Feel free to leave in the comments your opinions :)

Thank you so much for reading,

January Favourites

Can you believe January is already over?! We are now officially in February so my post today is going to be my January Favourites.

Hope you enjoy...

Beauty Favourites -

My Kiko lipstick in the colour 515 Orchid.

Personally, when it gets into the colder months I tend to go for darker lip colours. I was always weary of purple toned lipsticks as I really thought they wouldn't suit me. However, I ventured out of my comfort zone and I have seriously fallen in love with this colour and have been wearing this throughout January.  In the swatch picture it does come across quite light but when you apply more than one layer it does become darker.

Skin & Lip care Favourites -

Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm.

I am sure most of you girls will know that in Winter time our lips get really dry and chapped. Me having very sensitive and dry skin I suffer with chapped lips all year round so you can probably imagine how horrid they get in Winter! No joke, this lip balm has been my life saver. It completely made my lips stay healthy and hydrated throughout November, December and January. This will be in my handbag forever I am sure!

Now, I am not known to fake tan. I have thought about it in the past but never really did anything as I worried it could cause my skin to react, as my skin is ridiculously sensitive. That is until I was introduced to this product through my best friend Anna. I haven't been using this all over my body but in January I have been going to meals with my family and friends and I have actually been wearing dresses (I know and yes I was freezing). I have been moisturising my legs and arms with this product and I have been loving it. I love the smell of fake tan so it smells good and it basically gives you a natural summer glow.

Perfume Favourite -

Storm Flower by Cheryl Cole.

Normally in the Wintery season I wear much stronger scents for example, Lady Million by Paco Rabanne. However, since getting this for Christmas I have honestly been loving this throughout January. It is a very sweet scent but I love it! I have been using this everyday, even when I am not going out anywhere I will still give myself a quick spritz to set me up for the day.

Haircare Favourite -

THIS PRODUCT IS THE BEST PRODUCT EVER. That is the truth. I have been more than loving this product, it makes my hair look so much fuller, healthier and overall better! Recently my hair has been looking really limp and just generally unhappy. This product is also a 'hair' saver and I am sure I will be repurchasing this over and over again.

Now onto TV Show & Book Favourites -

For my TV Show favourite I would say it has to be Silent Witness. Silent Witness is (or was as I think the series has just finished) on BBC 1 Yorkshire at 9PM every Monday and Tuesday night. They have like two parts to every story. I think they have three different stories in a series and I have just been seriously loving it!

Sadly, I don't have a book favourite as I haven't been reading lately which does make me sad but I will start eventually...

That comes to the end of my January Favourites.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed.

Review - The Body Shop 'Born Lippy' Lip Balms.

The Body Shop's 'Born Lippy' lip balms.

Now I have had plenty of these in my lip balm collection over the years and I can honestly say I always forgot about them and probably ended up losing every single one I had!

However, my mum bought these for me for Christmas in a gift box that was shaped in a lolly (how cute?!) So I have decided to try them all out and share my opinions with you lovelies. I hope you enjoy...

This one has to be my favourite. It is the flavour Raspberry. The scent is quite refreshing and not too sickly. When I put this on my lips it's not 100% in your face and you can't smell it too strongly. I don't think these lip balms are very pigmented but this one just makes your lips a bit more pinker and give them a glossy effect. If you are a fan of subtle raspberry scents & a lip balm that is light on the lip and nothing too vibrant this is probably perfect for you. You can check this product out here

This is the Satsuma Shimmer lip balm. I have to say I thought this was going to be my favourite because I love anything that smells like citrus fruits. I was so disappointed when I took a whiff of this scent. It is way too sickly for me, if I smell it more than like 3 times I begin to feel sick. If you are a fan of super strong citrus scents you might like this but for me, I will be giving this to either my sister or mum! I will say it looks very gentle on the lip even though it does have glitter in. If it was less smelly I would definitely use this. You can check this out here

Watermelon is by far the worst one for me. I can actually say I hate the smell of this. It reminds me of when I was younger and I had a sickness bug, but when I was poorly with the bug I wore a watermelon scented lip balm. I seriously think it put me off anything that smells like watermelon for the rest of my life! I haven't actually used this on my lips so I can't tell you how it looks but according to The Body Shop website it claims to leave soft pink colour and glossy finish.
You can probably see someone has been using this but it actually is my mum. She loves it! You can check this out here.

Next up is the Passionberry flavour. This to me just smells like blackcurrant juice. I don't mind this one, I wouldn't pick this one out of the others (excluding watermelon) but I don't mind it. It can become sickly after a little while so I do leave this one out. I thought this would leave a purple tint on my lips but I don't think it does. Maybe if you put loads on it might but I only use small amounts at a time and in my opinion it just leaves a glossy finish, no colour. You can check this out here.

Last but not least...

This is the flavour Strawberry. I also really love this one. I think I prefer the sweet berry scents, as you can see I have used this one a lot! It is definitely my go to lip pot out of all the others. Again, it isn't sickly, I can apply this 2 or 3 times a day and it doesn't bother me. Yay! This leaves my lips looking lovely and red with a high shine finish which I love. I would recommend this to sweet berry lovers like me.

Overall, I think some of the Born Lippy lip balm flavours could be made to smell a lot nicer, however some of them smell amazing and leave lips looking wonderful. One thing that bothers me about these products is the texture. I am more of a lipstick girl rather than a lip gloss girl. I don't really like anything sticky on my lips. (I do realise that can be read in the wrong way but I strongly don't mean it to be haha). I think I will only continue using the Strawberry and Raspberry ones and give the others to my sister and mum. They are a great present for somebody if they aren't as fussy as me... Another thing, the price is really good, only £2.

Thank you so much for reading guys,

All About The Monochrome (Haul)

Hey guys, so I know it has been a while but in the space between my last post and this post I have been very poorly and very busy planning exciting things!

I am back today with a haul post. I hope you enjoy!

Now, before I start rambling on about everything I bought I will just let you know that monochrome is for me, the best type of pattern/style for my figure. Some people think monochrome is boring but I completely disagree. For me, I think it is very flattering on girls who aren't stick thin. In my opinion monochrome clothing is tasteful, smart and very stylish. I am a big fan of monochrome as you will probably work out from this post!

The first thing I bought was this top from River Island. I actually saw this top on the website and my first thought was I really don't like it. I went shopping with my mum on Sunday and this was at the front of the store, I genuinely fell in love. I guess sometimes clothes look much better in person than in pictures online.

Of course it is monochrome so it does look flattering on. I also really love the back of this top, from the front it looks really quite smart and sophisticated but when you look at the back it has a slit from about mid back down the bottom. So it is all party in the back and plain at the front. The material is quite thick and as you can see from the bottom picture it has little squares just to add a little something extra. You can check this out on the River Island website 'here'

I do apologise for this picture. It was super difficult to get a good picture of this top!

I must say I have about 5 other tops from River Island pretty much the exact style as this one. Therefore, I didn't really need this but oh well... I saw this top in store and it straight away caught my attention because it looked so similar to my others, I just had to buy it. I really loved the detail of this one around the neck and chest. It looked so chic and I straight away thought it would go so well with a pair of jeans, blazer and high heeled boots! You can check this top out 'here'

Again, the quality of this picture is bad quality but the natural light just wasn't working for me today!
Anyway I bought this coat from the River Island sale and I must say it was a bargain! I have been wanting a coat like this for ages but just never found one that I loved. Until this one! It is a black/grey colour with leather panels around the back of the neck and on the bottom of the sleeves. I have the compulsory Winter Parka but I just fancied something a little lighter and more stylish. Unfortunately i can't find this on the website anymore but if you click 'here' there is one very similar and £5 cheaper.

Slightly moving off the monochrome vibe and onto the navy blues! I have been loving the loafer craze but to be honest, I never actually owned a pair until now. I actually bought these from Office in the Boxing day sales.

There were three colours in these shoes grey, cream and this navy blue and I was torn between all three but I ended buying these ones as they will go with more of my outfits. Just to warn you, these shoes hurt the first time you wear them. Trust me, I would maybe wear them around your home with a pair of socks to try break them in. I was in agony the first time I wore them...

I love the style and colour of these so much so I hope one day they won't hurt me when wearing them! You can check these out 'here' in all the colours they have.

Last but not least...

I know these are a little random but I bought these the weekend before so I thought I should include them!

Lately, some of the reasons being the weather my hair has just been looking really dry, limp and a little unhappy so I saw these and I thought they might help give it the volume it wants. I can honestly say I have been using the dry texturising spray religiously ever since I bought it. I haven't used the like watery spray yet as I have been obsessed with the other one.

It gives my hair the lift it needs and makes it look fuller, healthier and much more alive than it was before! I am so happy I bought these.  You can check them out 'here' and 'here'

That guys is all the things I have bought in the past month.

I have lately been trying to save my money so in my opinion I haven't been too bad and everything I bought didn't break the bank so it is all good!

Thank you so much for reading.

What's In My January Make Up Bag

Hey guys, today I am doing a beauty post for you! As you can probably tell by the title this is my January make up bag contents. New year, new face is my motto. Hope you enjoy...

The make up bag itself was actually a Christmas present from my dad (obviously) from Victoria's Secret. I must say when you work for VS you see so many products you want that when you get home that is all you can talk about, when I first saw this I loved it and mentioned to my family that I would like it. This is a limited addition make up case as it is a fashion show product so they are only around for a limited period of time. I am lucky I got first dibs!

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara - This mascara I have to say has been in my make up bag since I started blogging last year. It is by far my favourite mascara and believe me, I have tried many!
My eyelash curlers are actually from Primark for £1 and they are also the best I have ever owned.

Sleek Brow Kit in Light - Again, this has been in my make up bag since I started blogging, but what can I say? It is such a great eyebrow kit and has lasted for ages! You seriously can't go wrong it keeps my eyebrows looking fuller, shaped and darker throughout the day.

Now, some new additions to my new make up bag -

These lipsticks in my opinion are the best sort of shades to kick start a new year. We are still in Winter and these darker shades of purple and pink are just right.

Swatches -

Top - MAC Girl About Town
Bottom - Kiko Orchid

The L'Oreal Super Liner is my ultimate eye liner. I adore this product and this will be in my make up bag forever! It creates the perfect cat eye for day and night time.

I only use the Rimmel Kohl Eye Pencil if I am going to a special dinner with family or friends. Throughout the day I don't really use it as I think it can make my make up look a bit to heavy. However, at night time it gives a little something extra.

For the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer I don't use this everyday nor the Collection cover up stick. I only use concealers if I really feel I have to. For example, I had to work New Years Day this year and after New Years Eve, using concealer is a necessity haha!

A new product to my January Make Up bag, the Simple Corrector Pen. I absolutely love this product as any mistakes I make with my make up, for example if I go a little to high with my cat eye flick this simply wipes it away and basically corrects it! It is seriously a gift from god.

That has brought you to the end of this blog post...

I really hope you enjoyed this post and has given you some ideas for the perfect face this month!

Please don't forget to follow me on all my social media links which are located on my side bar.

Have you got anything new in your January Make Up Bag? Feel free to leave comments!
